Purola's Harbor Deli: Where Flavor Meets Comfort in Ashtabula, OH

This was the first time I ever ordered from somewhere that the person over the phone did not instantly rush me. The gentleman over the phone was super personable and gave wonderful suggestions such as their stuff Pizza which is Delicious by the way. I will easily dump so much money here it's not even funny but very worth it. It's aware that you have amazing customer service and great food to match this is the perfect place to pig out Saturday or Friday night with friends and you'll easily impress everyone there with a great quality food!!!!!!!

Our first time here, Jessica helped with suggestions and was very attentive to us and other patrons! We just made it (before 6) for the 1/2 price appetizers, we had fried cheese, pizza and salad! We will be back!

The spicy Italian sandwich really hit the spot. Photo only shows half cuz I devoured the other half before taking a picture. Big on flavor, definitely did NOT skimp on the meat, and was made to order. The deli has an inviting dining room, huge salad bar, big menu, and lots of daily specials. Will definitely go back.

For what we order 5 stars! But I'm deducting a star for a reason I'll share in a moment. If you're wondering about the mozzarella sticks, wonder no more! They are amazing! Though $10 is pricy for 4, they a very large & very good. (If they were $8 they would be incredible!) We always order the Supreme pizza b/c for the amount of toppings the price point is great. The only downside is it is incredibly soggy. It's more of a fork eating pizza. But maybe that is due to the amount of toppings? If you had 3 hands you wouldn't be able to pick up a slice as the toppings will slide right off. Other than that, it is a delicious pie. My star deduction comes from not being able to order a sub/hoagie for dinner. Who doesn't love a big sub at dinner time !? Unfortunately they are only available on the lunch menu. Let's rally to change that!

Went with a large group for a Christmas party and so the food was served buffet style. There were a variety of appetizers including their mozzarella sticks, buffalo dip, pizza, loaded cheese fries and more. All of the apps were so good, it was difficult to force yourself to leave room for the main course. The main course(s) were a meaty lasagna, penne pasta in a vodka tomato sauce, meatballs in marinara, breaded chicken patties, and several varieties of pizza. All of the food was cooked perfectly and served hot. Speaking of service, the staff is great and the owner is happy to discuss their take home products and answer any questions. Kudos to Purola's Harbor Deli!

Service is a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait. Would recommend calling in an order of you are looking for carry out. Try a Ruben or Pastrami Sandwhich. Hands-down the best around.

We had a huge party, but the one waitress and staff did such a great job. The large pizza was huge. I loved my Cobb salad with balsamic vinegrette. Right off 531 and a nice size parking lot. Very clean and wide open floor plan. Except for the area that, where they put our group. They have a half wall and the large table and bench wall seat, locked many into position. And everything handed to us over our heads to set the food on elevated wire racks. So if this bothers you request they arrange the tables in center area for a group. See photos. Restrooms are off to a wide side hall, away from all the hustle. There is a beautiful wall mural that greets you as you enter. A scene of the Ashtabula Maritime area and Lake Erie.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a very snowy day. Luckily we weren't in a big hurry because we waited a very long time for our sandwiches to arrive. Otherwise the people were pleasant and the food was good
